Fitzlife Unfiltered with Kim & Jamie Fitzpatrick

Episode #153 - Activation: The Power of Devoted Discipline

Kim & Jamie Fitzpatrick Season 3 Episode 153

Get comfortable and find a quiet spot for this one.

In this solo episode, Kim explores the powerful concept of devoted discipline and what it means to embody your future self right now, in the midst of life's chaos and challenges. Rather than waiting for perfect conditions or easier circumstances, this episode invites listeners to step into their next level identity today.

The central message revolves around Kim's mantra "be her now" and becoming the person you need to be not someday, but in this present moment, amidst the noise and imperfection of everyday life. Kim guides listeners through a reflective meditation, asking them to visualize their future self in a mirror and observe her posture, calm, and quiet power. This version isn't waiting for things to settle, she's leading herself through uncertainty right now.

The episode reframes discipline as an act of reverence rather than punishment and  a sacred commitment to your standards and self trust. Every micro decision and small promise kept strengthens your nervous system and teaches it who you're becoming. Kim encourages listeners to identify one small, daily standard they can hold with devotion for seven days, whether it's morning movement, journaling, or self compassion.

Throughout the episode, listeners are reminded that devotion isn't built in ease but through the act of returning to yourself repeatedly. The message is clear. You're not behind, you're becoming. Your next level isn't found in perfection or control, but in presence, consistency, and devoted discipline, one choice at a time.

Thank you as always for listening.

SPEAKER_01:

Welcome to the Fitz Life Unfiltered, where we pull back the curtain on life, leadership, and legacy.

SPEAKER_00:

We're Kim and Jamie Fitzpatrick, partners in love, business, and growth.

SPEAKER_01:

Everyone here, we believe the lessons that shape us the most aren't found in the perfection. They're actually found right in the middle of the night.

SPEAKER_00:

The unfiltered moments, the pivot, the rebuild, the lightning. What are we doing, Todd?

SPEAKER_01:

And this is where we share it all the stories, the strategies, and the truth behind the success.

SPEAKER_00:

Because your legacy is built in the moments no one seems we're here to talk about them.

SPEAKER_01:

Whether you're turning in from your car, your kitchen, or your morning walk, we're so glad you're here.

SPEAKER_00:

Let's dive in together.

SPEAKER_01:

All right. Today we are going to talk about devoted discipline. We're going to be becoming her now, maybe in the middle of the mess, maybe in, you know, the mountain you're walking through or the mountain you're climbing up. And, you know, I love that book, Going on a Bear Hunt, because, you know, you can't go, you can't go under things. You can't go around things. You can't go over things. You have to go through things. And today I want to invite you to step into that. And what is that gonna feel like and what's that gonna look like? So we're gonna start, we're gonna take a deep breath in. You're gonna exhale fully for three full, delicious breaths. I'm gonna ask you to breathe in again. Breathe in clarity. Breathe in possibility, breathe in presence. And hold that at the top. And then you're gonna exhale, releasing any distraction, comparison, chaos. Because right now, wherever you are, life is happening. There's deadlines, expectations, there's conversations waiting. There's maybe even some chaos swirling around you. At this moment, this breath, this is your invitation back. This activation is about escaping what's here. It's about remembering that you can lead yourself through it. You don't need to silence, to hear your truth. You just need to be still enough to listen. We're gonna be her now amidst that noise. And you've heard me say this before. I've written a journal on it, right? Be her now. I talk about that all the time. It's my mantras. It's like, who do I need to become in order to match that future identity, in order to match that person that's gonna get through this next step? Who do I need to become? But I need to be her now. I need to embody her now. It's not someday, not when it's easy, right? Not when it's convenient, right? It's learning the dance and the nuance of keeping your chain out of the dirt, right? I love that analogy where you know that your when your chain is dripped, right? It's in the dirt, it will not actually function. Your chain can't, can't, you can't pedal on your bike when your chain's dirty. For those of you that know biking, right? It's how do we keep our chain out of the dirt, right? Not someday, not when it's easy, but right here, right now, in the middle of your beautiful, imperfect, fully alive life.

SPEAKER_02:

If I were to turn down the volume on your life, I'm just thinking about it.

SPEAKER_01:

We don't become we become the versions of ourselves we're ready to step into by anchoring in who we are now and anchoring in who you are. Because everything you did, every version of you, right? Imagine every version of you just coming up and lining up, right, all the way to your front door. And there's just versions of you every single step of the way, every single step to get to your new front door, to that next step, that opening the door. You're you're walking past that. You're just giving each version of you flowers, saying, Thank you for being here. Thank you for pulling me through. Thank you for seeing thank you for seeing me. Thank you for getting here. You become your next version by anchoring in everything you already are. And then stepping into saying, come on, ladies, we've got this. I've got you. We've got this. I want you to close your eyes if you can, if you're driving, just listen to this. But I want you to take a deep breath in through your nose. Exhale slowly out of your mouth. When you picture yourself standing in front of a mirror, but this mirror doesn't reflect who you've been. It reflects who you're becoming. Look at her. Notice her posture, the way she stands, the calm in her eyes, the quiet power in her presence. She's not waiting for perfect timing, she's not waiting for things to settle. She's leading herself right now. Ask her. What matters most right now? What do you prioritize when no one's watching? How does she respond when things feel uncertain? Let her show you. Maybe she gets up five minutes earlier to breathe before the world begins. Maybe she chooses stillness over scrolling. Maybe she honors her commitments not because she has to, but because she promised herself she would. Notice how steady she feels. Steadiness isn't from control, it's from devotion. Remember that discipline isn't a punishment, it's a reverence. It's remembering that your standards are sacred. It's choosing alignment over urgency, integrity over impulse, presence over perfection. Every time you show up, when it would have been easier not to, you're strengthening your self-trust. Every micro decision you make is teaching your nervous system who you're becoming. This is what it means to be her right now. It means to be her now. When not when you feel ready, but right here in the reality you're living. So let's activate this together. Think of one small standard, one promise that you're ready to hold with devotion for the next seven days. Maybe it's 10 minutes of movement each morning, maybe it's drinking water before coffee, maybe it's protein before coffee, maybe it's journaling one sentence of gratitude each night, maybe it's speaking kindly to yourself. What's one thing if repeated daily would become the evidence of your becoming? Whisper it to yourself now. Feel that drop in. That's your devotion. That's your beakery moment.

SPEAKER_02:

Every time you put it, every time you put out return.

SPEAKER_01:

Every time you go, return. Devotion is not built in ease. It's built in the returning to you. You're not behind. You're becoming. And this is your beher moment right now, not when it's quiet, not when it's easy, but right here, right now, in the mess and the movement of your life. Because how you lead yourself through the noise is the evidence of your next level. One choice, one devotion, and one return at a time. I want you to breathe that in. I want you to let the stillness land. Let the awareness settle. And here are a few questions for you to anchor in what might have just shifted. And if you can, write them down. And if not, simply just repeat them silently to yourself and listen for what arises. Who am I choosing to be right now in the reality I'm in? Where have I been waiting for conditions to be perfect before I start? What does devotion and what does devoted discipline look like for me this week? If someone turned down the volume of my life, would they see the evidence of my focus? And lastly, what's one standard I'm committing to holding no matter what happens around me? Here's an affirmation that you can repeat as many times as you need through the day. I am becoming her now, not through perfection, but through presence, not through control, but through consistency, not through pressure, but through devotion. Take one last big deep breath. Sail fully. You're not behind. You're right on time. And you cannot miss what is meant exactly for you. You're becoming, let this be your evidence and your return. Thank you so much for tuning in to the Fitzlave Unfiltered. We are so grateful that you're here with us.
